Iconic seafront concert and convention venue in Ostend, designed by architect Léon Stynen and inaugurated in 1953. The modernist building replaced the earlier 19th-century Kursaal destroyed during World War II. Features a grand concert hall with over 2,000 seats and exceptional natural acoustics, plus exhibition halls, conference rooms and a casino. Has hosted major touring artists including Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick and Jerry Lee Lewis. Currently undergoing a €25 million renovation (2024-2026) to create Belgium’s largest modular concert hall with capacity exceeding 3,000, including standing configurations.
