SIMPLE MINDS TO GROUND CONTROL.

For the two UK gigs I attended this year in Scotland and England, I was fortunate enough to be up the front of the arenas. Come Amsterdam, I decided to step back and absorb the sound and vision of the Global tour from a different aspect. Irrespective of where I stood in the Ziggodome, the sound was crystal clear at all points, not an easy task in any arena. The projected videos were controlled by operators at the mixing desk lead by Olivier. I counted seven crew working the room. Mark Wynn-Edwards ran the multimedia for the stage with aplomb. (Every day is a school day)

The tour has been universally lauded by fans. A significant element of the credit should go to the backroom teams who bring the music to life for us. Thank you to the crew for making this leg of the tour a special one for us.
