A few hours before this concert, the music video for ‘Sanctify Yourself’ was filmed at Forest National. That morning, fans had been invited via the newspapers to attend the shoot. We were supposed to be let in at 3 pm… But we weren’t allowed in until just after 5 pm… As we’d had to wait outside in the freezing cold all that time, Simple Minds treated us first to a warm-up set of four songs: ‘Waterfront’, ‘Don’t You’, ‘Alive & Kicking’ and finally ‘Someone, Somewhere in Summertime’. Then the actual filming of the music video began. ‘Sanctify Yourself’ was played three times... A memorable evening. PS: the next day I had my physics exam... I passed with flying colours ;-)
